Lauren Yvonne Townsend

Lauren Yvonne is a creative producer based in Doncaster.

"I have been working in the arts since 2015 and my experience to date spans theatre, short film, exhibition, live events, community arts and digital experiences. 

I am keenly interested in projects that promote cross-collaboration between mediums and art forms and I am passionate about telling bold stories, developing emerging talent and widening opportunities in our industry. 

Alongside a freelance career I am currently the Producer at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield where I lead on delivery of our digital programme LBTV which was established to deliver creative content to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic, and The 24 Hour Plays UK an exciting talent development programme based on the New York’s Broadway programme of the same name.

Prior to this I was Interim Assistant Producer at Sheffield Theatres where I assisted on the planning and production of our in-house and visiting programme: including sell-out new musical Standing At The Sky’s Edge; and the world premiere theatrical adaptation of Life of Pi.

I am also branching out into writing and directing and I’m currently developing a few new projects as a creator/lead artist.
